For a narrow or tabletop mirror, a makeup desk without mirror only needs to be at least as wide as the mirror. The Mira is 31.5″ wide and just 16.9″ deep, and the Nova Circle, Pixie Small and Icon 2.0 run 36″ to 39.4″.

A hidden stool, your own mirror
A vanity with no mirror still needs a seat, and the 36.2″ Snug and 59″ Merge tuck one fully into the desk. The Snug’s stool has storage inside, and the Merge adds 12 soft-close drawers.

Vanity desk, no mirror: what size mirror should I add?
Measure the desk, then shop for a mirror that is about as wide as your desk or narrower. These desks run 31.5″ to 59″ wide, so a long mirror fits the 59″ Majesti or Pro, and a slim one the 31.5″ Mira. See our mirror size guide.
Makeup vanity, no mirror: does it still light up?
Yes. Every desk here has built-in LED light, and most can glow in RGB color. That glow sets the mood, but makeup needs natural white light, around 4000K to 5000K, on your face from the front. Our lighting guide explains why.
Should I hang the mirror or stand it on the desk?
Both work on a vanity desk with no mirror. A wall-hung mirror keeps the glass top clear; a standing one needs depth, and most desks here are 21.7″ deep (the Mira is 16.9″). See how high to hang it and our hanging tips.

The Snug and Merge do: each hides a stool inside the desk. Otherwise, choose a vanity chair or stool that fits under a 31.9″ desk top; most desks here are that tall. Our seating guide covers the fit.
